Gospel according to Saint John in chapter 9 describes one of the great miracles of Jesus healing the blind man. Christ not only heals physical infirmity, but on much deeper and complex level touches inner sanctuary of our heart, and on a top of physical cure, He also heals us, makes us whole again. Think of it: not being able to see, day and night living in the world of darkness, missing much of that created splendor and magnificence of this universe must be extremely difficult; a real suffering. Even if one gets use to it, it is so unjust not to be able to experience of what most of us take for granted every day. Maybe today, when many already suffer and cannot see nothing but fear, doubt and confusion, we need to remind everyone around us, that Christ can heal our blindness, He can restore our sight again, He could lead us safely to trust, hope and love again. Remember what Jesus says just in the preceding chapter of John’s Gospel: “(…)I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me, will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (see J 8:12).
